Can any of you style experts please help me?! I’m going to a party next month and really need some ideas about what to wear - I really struggle to know what suits me and even if I did know, I wouldn’t know where to look for it.
I’m early 40s, 5”2 and size 8, and I don’t want anything really short as I don’t like my legs much - knee length or longer is ok, although being short means that I pretty much disappear in big dress! I do struggle to find things that fit well because of my height and most of the clothes I have are from petite ranges (but are much more casual).
The party is in the evening at a nice venue - no dress code specified but I think people will be dressed ‘nicely’ so I need to figure out what that looks like for me. I’m guessing most women there will be in dresses, which would be my first thought, but I’m open to alternatives.
Don’t want to spend loads as I don’t think I’ll have lots of opportunities to re-wear the outfit, but I do accept that looking nice doesn’t necessarily come cheap!
