I remember Lush in the noughties and it was fab -- it's USP was that it used a ton of natural ingredients, so you'd have bath bombs stuffed full of dried roses, massage bars that smelled exactly like chocolate, minty foot cream etc. It was like a more raw and OTT version of the body shop in the body shop's golden nineties era.
I went in the other day and everything seemed really gimmicky and geared towards children -- glitter, bright colours, unicorns etc. I thought I'd treat myself to a bath bomb and there wasn't one I even wanted to try.
What happened? Are they marketing themselves more to children now or something?
