LED mask. Current body or something else?

I’m thinking of buying this. Does anyone have any feedback on this one, or anything else they’d recommend or avoid?

Also do I need any products to enhance the results?

I’m mid 40’s with normal skin.

Hmmm.
Some snake oil?

What do you mean by that?

LED therapy gets good results and has scientific data to support this

Key Scientific Mechanisms

  • Photobiomodulation: Cells absorb light particles (photons), converting them into adenosine triphosphate (ATP) — cellular energy—which boosts metabolic processes, repairs, and regenerates components.
  • Fibroblast Stimulation: Red light penetrates deeply to act on fibroblasts, boosting collagen and elastin production to improve skin texture and reduce wrinkles.
  • Bacterial Destruction: Blue light penetrates the upper layer of the skin, targeting Cutibacterium acnes bacteria to reduce acne.
  • Increased Circulation: LED therapy enhances blood flow, aiding in inflammation reduction and tissue repair

I love my CurrentBody LED mask, it's made a huge difference to my skin. I have the red light one though so can't comment on the specific one you've linked.

I currently use the Shark one and despite being sceptical I can see an improvement in my skin.

I’ve also got the Shark one been using it for about 4 weeks and can some improvement to my skin.

I have a Current Body LED mask (it's white so I think it's not the same as the one you've linked above) and I think it does work. However, I find it uncomfortable and that it doesn't fit my face very well. I am quite a small person and obviously it has to be 'one size fits all'.

Have you tried using the extra strap? Mine came with two straps but no instructions on how to use them but I eventually figured out that you can use the small strap attached to the main one and it goes over your head to help the mask sit better. That's a terrible description but if you search you will find videos showing how it works.

I have a shark one, lots of people gave complimented me on my skin recently so perhaps it’s the mask. Used it for about 3 months now.

The Guardian “Filter” had reviews on led masks a couple of weeks ago - good list of pros and cons.

I have had Dr Dennis Gross Spectralite and have been using it religiously everyday and definitely made a difference to my skin. However the strap is crap, but I have the mask on when I lie on my bed (it's only allowed for 3 minutes a day), so just go without it. I am 40 with combination skin.
