LK Bennett closing down sale

Has anyone bought anything - apparently everything is now 50% off and I’ve been browsing but honestly cannot find anything appealing.

Even at 50% some of the items are ridiculously expensive for what they are. I have several items and shoes from there bought over the years but it just seems to have lost its way and become far too expensive. I’m a big fan of Me & Em so maybe brands like this are cutting into LKB’s customer base.

I even used to subscribe to their rental service a few years ago and had some lovely items that I really enjoyed wearing.

I used to love LK Bennett 20 years ago. The problem is that fashion moved on and LK Bennett didn’t- still doing office and occasion wear for 2003.

Thanks, I didn’t know about this. I still have some beautiful and smart frocks from years ago. Expensive but worth it.

I was also a rental subscriber and I really enjoyed it, unfortunately it just disappeared with really poor communication so k felt disinclined to shop there. Now see it's closing down and im not surprised, the prices are eye watering. I do think they have some lovely and good quality pieces - coats are great, some of the dresses and shoes and boots last forever in good shape if you resold them. But things like jumpers, some of the tops and skirts are so old fashioned, and still expensive.

Yes totally agree with you.

the rental service was expensive but I enjoyed using it for a while after covid when we were just going back to offices and was experimenting with my style a bit.

I feel the same about Russel & Bromley. I went into the closing down sale looking for a bargain - but found average-to-ugly shoes all still at £250 plus. Such a sad way for great brands to end.

Oh I didn’t even know that had closed. You’re spot on though.

I got two pairs of boots for 70% off and three pairs of shoes for 60% off in store. Which was a total saving of over £1200.

My local store says new stock arrives every day.

I bought a pair of trainers I’d been lusting after for years in the R&B sale for £94 instead of £175. I reckon they’ll see me out.
