Suitable for April Wedding

Do you think this would work for an April wedding?
Most of my dresses are either work type, winter (lots of grey and black) or very summery and would need me to buy some kind of jacket
I don’t normally wear jackets - I’m a coat and cardigan person
I’m 61 5’4” size 16

Oh good! Check the descriptions re any marks, though. And the size label - as Vinted sizing is all over the place now (though I think I made sure those listed are 14 & 16). And if you do buy it, make sure you treat it with a good suede protector - & take an umbrella to the wedding!!

Are there other brands that you like & fit well, OP? What about Hobbs? Quite a few dresses on eBay that you may like.

I’d go for plain fabrics - a simple shift dress and jacket.

I think that choosing floral patterned outfits can be quite aging. I’m 5’ 2” and older than you and would steer clear of anything patterned a with large flowers or patterns.

I’d look for something from Hobbs.

@EleanorMc67 thank you I love the Hobbs red and pink silk dress and the jaeger one with white background - might buy anyway at those prices as both would be lovely on other occasions
I’m not concerned re fit as I’m aiming to carry on with weight loss so hopefully will fit me at some point

I really like that Hobbs print & colourway too - though I think it's described as bright coral & pale pink. It's being sold for the last reduction before they give it to charity - so if you like it, buy it now!

All of these except the third one would be lovely for an April wedding. I don’t think the grey is too drab with the shawl over it.

I also spotted this (after you asked about kimonos) - it's a wool-mix plain kimono-style jacket/short coat from H&M. Down to £60, which is quite good I think? You could always bring your dress with you to a store & see if it matches the pink in your dress. I think it will be shorter than your dress but not sure by how much, so the proportions may or may not work. But the belt is detachable & I think it will almost certainly look best unbelted.
