Fancy Dress

I have a fancy dress party next week where I have to dress as a policewoman. How would I do this? Like in terms of what to buy

Black pencil skirt....white shirt tucked in...I'd maybe look online and buy some accessories to go with the base.

Shoes?

Basically lace up school shoes. Check the end credits of The Bill.

I agree- check what you already have at home, then buy accessories online such as a hat, tie etc. Maybe hand cuffs and a truncheon?

Shoes- anything black and flat you already have. TBH- people aren't going to think, 'oh, look at her, she has black ballet flats on and isn't a proper policewoman!'

Edited that I just did a google search of fancy dress police woman and OMG- there are an awful lot of skimpy, latex, stripper-gram outfits! 😳Unless that is the look you are after, I'd stick with black trousers or skirt and then just add accessories.
