I really need swimwear help!

I feel like I have been looking forever and still haven't found what I'm looking for.

I'm after a swimsuit or tankini that isn't majorly frumpy but also not ridiculously high legged either. I'd like it to look more fashion-y than sporty if you know what I mean. Tummy compression would be great.

Ideally chlorine resistant as I'm in the pool a lot at home, not necessarily hardcore length swimming.

And not black or a very light colour. In an ideal world I would like a higher neck just for less sun on chest area but I can compromise on this one.

I’m going to be slated but I bought a couple from Primark last year and they’ve been great. I swim in a pools 3/4 times a week and they’re still going strong.

I got 2 from Marks and Spencer last year. I had been looking for ages at bust sized swimwear at not far off a hundred quid a piece. Just didnt love them at that price. Ended up looking on a final chance rail one day and found two from their longer body range. Sized up and tried them and they were great. One is navy and the other is cobalt blue. I think they were about £30 each. I definitely found sizing up helped.

What clothes size are you, @waitingtowork? My favourite place only goes up to a 16.

I wear these although not high neck they are adjustable and not revealing

A 6-8 - would probably go for an 8 in a swimming costume

I've posted this one many times on MN, because its great. Tummy control, holds my giant boobs in without a wire and looks like a 1 piece but is a tankini. It has multiple bottom options from a bikini type, high waisted 50's style and also a skirted version. The first link is what I have, but its black.

They have other tankinis colours, but I'm unsure how much tummy control they have:

I got some great ‘low leg’ costumes from Tu recently however I’m not sure how chlorine resistant they are. In terms of comfort/style though, they are excellent value.

My Tu costumes have been good. Also old H&M ones. Not sure what they’re like now.

I've never seen one size swimwear before! It does look really good though, as long as it's not baggy on the smaller sizes

It’s a sensible question.

I don’t know how the things look on a size 6-8 - but I can tell you my swimming costumes are tiny when not being worn. Just measured one flat across the waist and it’s 11 inches / 28 cm.

I swim everyday for up to an hour.Tried no end of different brands of costume, now I only wear Asda ones.
