Wide leg trousers

Can wide leg trousers be worn by a short fat apple shape with a protruding tummy? Asking for a friend ......

5'5" size 20, down from a size 28/30 and have no idea how to dress now.

Looking at some on vinted - do I go bright/dull/dark? Floor or ankle length or something in-between? What shoes? Must be flat.

Wide leg trousers can be worn by anyone! I like mine long (like to the floor) but always wear tights underneath because I’m permanently freezing and they are too breezy without 😂
I have them in black (obvs), grey, light pink, blue with white pinstripes and a turn-up, some that look a bit like pyjamas because they are pink striped like a deckchair and I only wear them inside and also a cream pair which may have been a mistake…
I wear most of them with trainers when I work in the office, just all very comfortable.

I’m taller (5ft 7) and an apple and I love wide leg trousers! I have loads suitable for work, plus some fabulous wide leg jeans

I'm shorter than you but a similar size and shape. I wear wide leg trousers, I tend to by short length so they just cover the top of my shoes. I wear all colours and patterns, that's a preference thing.

I bloody hate wide legged trousers , but I cannot find anything else apart from jeans or leggings obvs) . I really don't want linen (un-ironed mess alert )

I think I will need to sit this season out and wear frocks
