I bought this jacket to wear with things like jeans, it's summer weight so a good jacket to throw on if it gets chilly.
I'm just wondering what colours I can wear with it, jeans and navy seem a bit safe.
I'll be wearing it for work meetings too.
Its not a colour I've had in my wardrobe before.
The colour is butterscotch. I'm taking it on holiday with me in May, May in eastern europe can be snow, teashirt weather or anything in between by all accounts.

That's a lovely jacket, OP. I would say it will work with a lot of different colours, in the same way a tan accessory or shoes can go with everything. I've recently bought a blazer in a very soft mid wash denim, and am hoping to get a lot of wear out of it.

Thanks, I was looking for a denim blazer but couldn't find one. Marks had a nice one but it isn't on their site any more. I did like this one. Baukjen stuff always fits me very well.

It’s a neutral colour - the whole point of which is to go with everything. So I don’t think you need overthink it.

Just try it on with everything you have to see what looks best.

Jeans. Creams and possibly florals to
pick out a colour. It’s not neutrals in my view. It’s ochre or gold. So needs thst shade in any pattern.

To me that’s a slightly dark camel colour. Like an old school MaxMara coat. Goes with everything.

I have a very similar blazer although mine is slightly paler (more camel than butterscotch) and I wear it with so many things. In winter I tend to wear it with a lot of black but as soon as there was a hint of spring, I was straight out with lots of cream, white and turquoise. I have a great scarf from Hades that’s camel and turquoise and it looks fantastic when worn with the blazer/

Sadly it’s no Max Mara!

Sadly it’s no Max Mara!

Not on an NHS salary it isnt. Still there are some good styling ideas on there.

It’s neutral so it will go well with every colour. Navy, black, brown, red, ivory, purple, greens, coral, red, purple as well as plain colours and prints i.e. leopard print, stripes, florals etc etc.

Middlechild3 · 15/03/2026 21:27

Purple

minipie · 15/03/2026 21:36

Navy, burgundy/maroon, chocolate brown, cream and off whites, teal, royal blue. Bright red might work, and emerald green. Denim will work.

I am properly chuffed, I just saw the jacket I bought in Grazia - well not the exact one the uniqlo version of the Baukjen butterscotch coloured blazer posted here.
They paired it with a bright red three quarter zip top and it looks amazing.
I know what colour top to get now.
