If you wear jeans to WFH or just hang at home, which ones do you wear?

Looking for recommendations of specific models but also general exchange of thought. I know that jeans are not for everyone to wear all day, but I feel smart and put together in a well-fitting, comfortable pair. My selection now is a mix of Levi’s 501 cropped and full length and wide leg Rib Cage. Also, Next patch pocket flared, but these are more for wearing out. I prefer ankle length cut as they are jus5 easier to move around the house, and 501 are quite tight, with little give, so I am considering Rib Cage straight ankle as my next pair.

I wear whatever ones I have picked up from Tesco, Sainsbury's or Next.

CoCoJones26 · 12/03/2026 07:05

Mango Mathilda straight leg.....JL have them on sale at the moment.

Fluffywabbits · 12/03/2026 07:06

Sainsburys £16 straight legs in dark denim. The black ones are good for going out but the dark denim are much, much softer denim. They're so comfortable for wfh days (and smart enough for going out too). Size down if you try them.

fiorentina · 12/03/2026 07:08

I wear M&S barrel jeans, obviously available in varying lengths if you prefer ankle.
I want to try some Levi 501 again.

My DD did recently comment though that I only wear jeans so I’m thinking of other ideas for this year alongside jeans!

Halara wide legs. Look like jeans, feel
like joggers. V flattering

ThatsPlentyIsa · 12/03/2026 08:24

M&S x Bella Freud wide leg jeans. Really flattering and well-cut - I bought back-ups in the sale, both times, and wear them on repeat.

Midlifecrisisaverted · 12/03/2026 13:54

Another vote for Halara. Look like jeans, feel like gym wear. Just ace, I have about 5 pairs. Total game changer for me, means I can wear them all day

AG jeans picked up cheap on Vinted. I bought my first pair heavily reduced from Fenwicks and now I find high street jeans just don't live up to designer jeans! I usually pay around £20 a pair in very good condition.

FlorenceBlack · 12/03/2026 14:02

I really like the Ribcage straight ankle, they’ve got a very small amount of stretch so not as rigid as 501s.

mixingplaydoh · 12/03/2026 14:04

I really like new look’s wide leg drawstring waist ones. They have a stiffer denim version, which makes me feel put together whilst still feeling comfortable. They do them in dark blue, light blue and black.

M&S carrot leg jeans at the moment. Very comfortable.

bananaboats · 12/03/2026 16:01

I love the Halara jeans too very comfortable & I've had lots of compliments on them!

Statsquestion1 · 12/03/2026 16:03

River island relaxed straight jeans!! So so comfy!

Justploddingonandon · 12/03/2026 16:08

I like the Next lift, slim and shape bootcut ones, not least because they do them in a size 15, but I don't have different jeans for WFH and going out. They are comfy so long as I buy the size 15 (and don't try and pretend the 14 fit) and seem to last well.

henlake7 · 12/03/2026 20:08

I find barrel legged jeans or wide legged jeggings best for comfy jeans.

EveryDayisFriday · 12/03/2026 20:11

I stick to my body shape and colours (autumn hourglass). This means I wear high waisted bootcuts in a dark navy. I like a bit of stretch. I love Next jeans, they fit me so well.

MathildaPony · 12/03/2026 20:28

For comfort I wear jeans with a bit of stretch... Levi 724s.
If you like Levi's you can filter on their website for the amount of stretch in your jeans you want.

Monolithique · 12/03/2026 20:33

M and S lily jeans- the only jeans I could find that fitted me. Also a pair of mint velvet jeans from a charity shop which are most likely supposed to be cropped.

SpottyAlpaca · 12/03/2026 20:35

Whichever scruffy frayed old ones I can find lurking in the wardrobe. I think the pair I’m wearing are from Gap, circa late 90s, but their origin may be lost in the mists of time.

Do you have anything else from Halara? Ive been tempted by a few options

Nanda66 · 12/03/2026 20:37

as others have said, Halara wide leg. So comfortable yet feel much smarter than wearing leggings

notnorman · 12/03/2026 20:38

levis 318 wide leg. Amazing. So stretchy and comfy but look awesome

notnorman · 12/03/2026 20:39

Better than my halará wide legs! And that’s saying something!!

moonshinepoursthroughmywindow · 12/03/2026 21:07

I've currently got some Next slim straight darkish blue jeans, Peacocks barrel jeans (the only barrel jeans I've ever tried on that look quite good on me) and FatFace mid blue wider jeans. The FatFace, which I think were called the Eliza cut, are probably the best made and are nice and soft, but I'm feeling the shape of the Next ones (which are second-hand) most right now, maybe because I wore various kinds of baggy trousers a lot over the autumn and winter.

I don't work from home and I can't wear blue jeans at work (although I can wear black, cream or any other colour except blue) but I wear them quite a lot out of work.
