Need to urgently get a new mascara. So hit me with your best high street brands that I can pick up in a small branch of Boots.

Maybeline sky high, the only one I think is any good and for me it out performs all the high end ones I’ve tried especially for the price.

LemonAir · 10/03/2026 10:17

The Boots own brand Seventeen mascaras are really good ime and they are so cheap too.

baxterbee · 10/03/2026 10:19

Second the maybelline sky high - it’s on offer in boots online today for £10 Tuesday

Nicecatneighbour · 10/03/2026 10:38

Max Factor 2000 Calorie. Strange name, but great mascara.
Edited to add, MF currently on 3 for 2 at superdrug.

L’Oréal panorama

I really rate the no7 one in a green and white tube.

YourOnMute · 10/03/2026 11:14

Revolution wrap lash

TorroFerney · 10/03/2026 13:02

The ELF one if you need a tubing one. I have very dry/hooded eyes which water and where my lashes touch my lid and I don't get panda eyes - it;s as good as (if you think these are good) doublewear and Kevin Aucoin for me.

dappledligh · 10/03/2026 13:07

Maybelline sky high, maybelline rocket.

I’ve tried them all and maybelline is the best

Whatevernext1 · 10/03/2026 13:12

Maybelline Sky High - I like the cosmic black in the black tube

Sundaynightterrors · 10/03/2026 13:15

Thanks. Have had Maybelline mascaras before and been pleased so will pick up the sky high one now.

Rimmel Extra Super Lash. I’ve tried loads of others but always gone back to this

BrickPoster · 10/03/2026 13:23

ELF have a dupe of Benefits Roller Lash that is really good!

The ELF one is excellent for the price. Their foundation and concealer are great too.

I like:

Max Factor False Lash Effect Lengthening Mascara

It looks really natural if lightly applied to top, and really looks good on the lashes, with no flaking.

Hi OP. I can tell you that drugstore mascaras often have really solid formulations with the same film-forming polymers, waxes, and pigments as higher-end options, so you can absolutely find great ones without spending a fortune. Look for formulas with ingredients like beeswax or carnauba wax for volume, panthenol for conditioning, and polymers like VP/VA copolymer for hold, and the brush design matters just as much as the formula for how it applies.

Cosmication · 11/03/2026 02:45

I tried maybelline sky high after recommendations on here. I didn't like it that much as it seemed to migrate too easily and gave me panda eyes all the time.

I've switched to No7 the Full 360 and although it's a little clumpy its much better at staying put. I don't like tubing mascara.

youalright · 11/03/2026 03:16

This is the one I use its really good. Its £10
