Oodie alternative

I start work at 6am. WFH and usually only get up 15 minutes before I go into a camera-on meeting (because it's so bloody early!). Just time to brush my hair and put on minimal makeup.

I need something to wear that I can throw over PJs because I'm absolutely not getting up even earlier to get 'proper' ready. That comes a bit later when I have a break at about 7.30am.

I'd LOVE to be able to wear my oodie (knock-off). It makes being up so early more bearable and the house is cold then too. But it's just not suitable really. Looks like night-wear. There is such a gap in the market for something as comfy as an oodie but that looks better.

Has anyone got an alternative? Ideally it needs to be:

  1. Fluffy inside for the snuggle/comfort (just out of bed) factor.

  2. REALLY warm.

  3. Full length because my legs and lower back get cold.

  4. Throw on. No separates because I don't really have time.

I think this is probably an impossible request. But I feel if this product was made it would sell. I can't be the only one looking for it! It would have the additional bonus of being able to be worn out of the house, because I'd also love to be able to go to the supermarket/corner shop in it. But refuse to succumb to the onesie in public effect!

I wfh too and I just slum it with Oodies. However I do have smart fleece jackets when I need them that look like a work jacket with buttons etc. I got them from Land’s End but you can get them from other places.

Is it possible to get a little plug in oil radiator and thoroughly warm the workspace? I have one and it is economical and v quick to heat the room up

I have this. So warm and on camera just looks like a jumper. Not sure I’d wear mine to the shops but mainly as I sized up and it’s huge 😆

While the photo is under review I should say it is a Borg onesie that looks a bit like a boiler suit - John Lewis on sale at £19.50
