What spring/summer tops do you wear with jeans if you have a bit of a spare tyre!?

Short sleeves or 3/4 suit me well and I like tops that are round/scoop neck and are made from material that hangs nicely (which ‘normal’ t-shirts don’t seem to! They just cling to my fat bits 😂). I have some (Next/F+F) that are a linen mix/broderie anglais or sort of fine knit on the front and then a cotton back which are nice. I have a nice viscose top and another that’s polyester and cotton which hangs great-from boobs and doesn’t cling anywhere else on the way down!

If you are a similar shape-quite big boobs but a bit of podge around the middle-what tops have you bought recently that looks nice?! Any recommendations would be brilliant!

I live in tee shirts, obviously not tight ones, but if I want to look a bit dressier then it's loose linen tops (no buttons) all the way - and no, I couldn't care less if they crumple, that's part of the attraction.

Thank you.

I have tried both balloon hem and peplum and they make me look worse! I think it’s about the fabric. I will have a look in John Lewis. Broderie anglaise works well, so maybe a stiffer sort of fabric?!

Me too. I actually find a fitted top looks better.

I love that Baukjen T-shirt but £69 😮

Absolutely agree. When I was bigger than I am now, anything even vaguely 'tunic like' - basically anything designed to 'disguise' - made me look bigger. Those garments DO cover up parts of your body, but if the aim is to look smaller, then tailoring and fitted garments are far more flattering.

That jacket is fabulous. I wish I had seen it before.

There’s one selling on vinted right now.

I have several Seasalt Appletree tops, in fact I’m wearing one at the moment. They seem to bring them out season after season in different fabrics. Some of them come with below-the-elbow length sleeves. I have one in tunic length but I wear it less because it’s in a plain fabric so needs ironing.

On their EBay outlet there are three patterns with longer sleeves listed at £9.99 with free postage, but size 8 is currently the only one left.

Mine arrived today but sadly not right for me. I’m 5ft 10 and they’re too short
the printed one seems smaller than the plain fabric if anyone orders (less stretchy)

@remort , one of the things I like about the Seasalt website is that they give the actual measurements in each size for each garment. I don't think that's there on the ebay outlet.

I haven't noticed different measurements for the same garment in different fabrics, though. Perhaps it's a quality control thing?

good shape, just needed an extra few inches!
