Help style my bag!

I’m struggling big time with this! Due to some extremely unfortunate events and total lack of competence during my caesarean I recently became the owner of a nephrostomy bag, which sits right in my waist. The nephrostomy is a sort of stoma which drains urine straight from my kidney. I’m 12 weeks post partum and struggling with what to wear. I love clothes and have a whole wardrobe of lovely items that won’t work with this bag. Bottoms need to accommodate it and tops ideally need to hide it.

I’ve been wearing high waisted maternity leggings but they’re getting too big now, I have some low waisted leggings that sit underneath the bag but I’m sick of dressing like I’m going to the gym and feeling scruffy!

I used to live in jeans with tops tucked in and trainers or boots. Any bottoms now will need to go over the bag completely with room for it to fill, or sit underneath it, so just on my hip.

Im 5’6 and a size 10/12 if that helps. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? Pic below is to show how the bag sits, as I know most people won’t know what a nephrostomy is.

Are you a Lucy and Yak dungaree type of gal?

Not really no, I usually shop in M&S/other stories/cos/zara, all places that seem off limits to me now. I’m 35 as well I should have said that before.

Poor you, will this be forever?

What about harem pants? Hush ones are quite good. Maxi dresses for summer?

No I am waiting for another surgery which will hopefully correct things, but I’m not sure yet when this will happen.

These from Cos?

I think Cos are a good shout for you, actually, as they do interesting shapes and a lot of high-waisted styles that could accommodate your bag.

These look like they will work, I will order them. I’m desperate to get out to some shops but it’s difficult with a baby!

Uniqlo do lots of different shapes in trousers, too. It might be worth ordering a truckload to try on. They’re a lot better quality than the prices suggest, too.

Im glad its reversible OP. I was actually looking at this earlier for myself and thinking it was really .ice. could be worn with leggings, tights, capri trpusers and so on with some nice jewellery.

Beyond Nine have some lovely elasticated trousers you could sit high on the waist and accommodate the bag in. It’s a certain look though, might not be your look! They also do jeans.
