Can't find Petite dress to wear for wedding

Hi all

I am 5'1, and size 6. Looking for something to wear as a wedding guest sometimes when I order dresses, they are loose around the waist or chest area so ideally size 4 might fit better but I can't find much suitable in either petite size

The ones I have seen are white unfortunately. Most places I have looked on, the dresses start from 8.

Could you please suggest somewhere I could shop online? Really stuck

or I got a lovely dress in the sale recently from Rixo which were supposed to be midi length but on my 5ft 2 frame was maxi and looks really nice. They only start at size 6 though no 4s.

All their dresses start at a UK size 4 (XXS). They are all silk. Obviously you might consider the short or midi lengths, but even the maxi lengths, if bought in the right size, would only need shortening, at most.

Quite a lot of choice and various prices here starting in a 4. Just avoid the white ones or there will be trouble on mumsnet 😁

My adult DD is this size and she gets loads on Ebay. It's ideal for that size as it's often younger women who grow out of things or change their minds - and you can get ten dresses for the price of one on the high street!

There's quite a few options on Next, you can filter by petite fit and size e.g.

The "young fashion" brands tend to size smaller although the styles might not suit.

Do posters feel the OP might be unaware that Next exists?

Reformation has a petite range, online only though. Pricy but you might get lucky on Vinted.

Also agree with Karen Millen petite range as mentioned by pp. Reiss size 6 comes up small or used to anyway. You could also try LK Bennett outlet as they come up slim. Ba&sh size zero is fairly small although more a 6 than a 4 but worth a try.

It's worth looking on eBay .com if the seller will ship to the UK. There are loads of outlet sales (brand new) and petite sizes are well served in the USA. I am the same size as you and bought a lined silk summer dress with a matching wrap for very little money. Sorry can't remember the brand but you can always consult size guides online and work out your US size.
