I need some serious help - capsule wardrobe from scratch

I'm responsible for a new business under the umbrella of my parent company, think legal related.

My director has asked me to set up my diary to attend some industry events, essentially to raise awareness of the new business and get my name known as I'm spearheading it.

I need a capsule wardrobe for this. Normally I work from home in pyjamas jeans but do have a smart dress for the occasional black tie events.

I'm 5"5, overweight, very short legs and a bit busty. Would ideally like my arms covered to at least my elbow and prefer dresses or skirts. I can't wear heels.

Please advise me!

Have you thought about visiting John Lewis or similar and booking a stylist appointment?

That's a really good idea, thank you. I've put on a lot of weight over the last 18 months.. I know they will be professional but a bit body conscious. But I will do that, it's a great idea 💡
