my drawers are unscented, you dreadful old ponce.

expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:08

i love molton brown, piffle. but lush is cheaper.

i agree, i can't use their soaps, but their slices are great for scenting things. they pack a lot of bang for the buck, so to speak.

hmmm this lush stuff looks great and it's made about 20 miles from me and I never go in the shop

will have a look next time

Piffle · 17/06/2008 22:09

Is scenting drawers poncetastic?
holy shit

expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:10

i scent DD1's and DD2's drawers and wardrobes with some local wool fat soap and sprigs of lavender from my own lavender bush.

how's that for ponce?

OP posts:
Piffle · 17/06/2008 22:10

well I'm off to lush tomorrow as luck has it...
any orders?

JackieNo · 17/06/2008 22:11

Thank you to whoever it was who pointed me in the direction of the Lily Lolo mineral makeup - it's great.

Piffle · 17/06/2008 22:12

expat we are soulmates
My dd has rosemary, lavender and stock scented sachets.
and they are gingham
all from my garden, not the gingham but...

chocolatespiders · 17/06/2008 22:13

i have got a bath bomb in my underwear draw... and i can smell the scent off my bra for most of the day...

think i will try the ultra stuff

expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:13

expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:15

we have this enormous rosemary bush, too. never thought to use cuttings from that for scent, too.

does it go well with the lav?

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:16

you will be convinced, aitch!

OP posts:
AitchTwoCiao · 17/06/2008 22:18

it does, expat. [embarrassed]

expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:19

mmmm. i'll cut some sprigs to toss in their drawers then.

can't be any more poncey than cod's French ironing water.

OP posts:
Piffle · 17/06/2008 22:19

I like it a lot. Also nice with pork fillet. Have one unruly bush hence needing to find constant uses for it. Tis medicinal too. We steep it for grazes and shhh ironing fragrance
dp says tis more masculine than lav, yeah him in his pink shirt...

Piffle · 17/06/2008 22:20

x post < curls up and dies in her cod like ponciness>

expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:22

Dh has taken some cuttings to grow our own bush to take with us when our landlords comes back.

he loves rosemary.

he doesn't know ti, but i use it to scent his drawers and wardrobe

OP posts:
Piffle · 17/06/2008 22:25

when are you moving expat? And to where?

expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:26

we'll stay in this area, hopefully, piffle, but this house in only rented from some mates who are in Africa so after they return we'll need to shift it.

OP posts:
Piffle · 17/06/2008 22:29

glad you've not to go far, last thing you need atm

expatinscotland · 17/06/2008 22:32

we'll see what's available to rent closer to when the time comes, Piffle. if it is meant to be, it will work out.

dd1 is being held back a year, anyhow, if the educational authority approves another year for her, in a nursery where she can have OT and SALT in house.

but the P1-3 teacher at the village school is so far beyond a cow we'll be moving at least two villages down to another catchment because i'm not sending my daughter for 3 years with that narrow-minded hag.

OP posts:
Piffle · 18/06/2008 06:28

that sucks... Bitch huh

EffiePerine · 18/06/2008 06:51

Cod for Bobbi Brrown

Whoever mentioned the Molton Brown rosewax cleanser - more pricey than ultrabland (at about 20 quid) but fabulous and no need to moisturise at night any more
