Got my eye on the leopard print adidas classics and have seen some converse with like a scarf tie on them too.

Thanks. I’ve also actually ordered a green pair! Sounds like they will work well as my wardrobe sounds a lot like yours - blue/black/grey jeans, leggings for mum days, and a range of olive green/khaki jackets… 😂 Perhaps I should have gone for a more neutral colour, but am partial to minimalist clothes and a more fun shoe. Let’s hope they are comfy!

Can I ask a question - does anyone wear trainers with bare feet or is that gross? I don’t like the feel of trainer socks, it’s something about where they stop on my ankle that really bothers me.

Just wear normal, longer socks! You may be pleased to hear that trainer socks are now very unfashionable!

What is considered smart trainers?

I have the leopard print sambas and I stopped wearing them because, whenever I caught sight of my reflection I thought they looked....a bit stupid!

I don’t really wear trainer socks but wear nude slip ons like trainer socks but sheer or matt. I need something between my feet and trainers. I do have trainer socks so might wear these.

I have no idea. I assumed it was some snarky comment. I mean, I don’t wear my really knackered scuffed pair to the office but I don’t wear my gardening joggers with the rips in either. Otherwise I wear whatever pair make me happy that day.

My pink Nikes arrived yesterday. Love them and super comfy. I do still want something green though - I set myself a 100quid budget and got one massive vinted bargin and the Nikes were junior size in the sale so I still have about 60 quid left….

And would you also have non trainer footwear? I have two pairs, one for the gym and one for general wear but I have lots of other shoes.

I don't do any exercise apart from dance classes, I just love trainers. I always wear them with frilly or lace socks. I've just received my converse with the scarf tie somebody mentioned on here.

No not really, I have one pair gym trainers, running trainers (road and trail), fashion trainers (then they all become gardening shoes at the end of their lives) and a pair of DM's and that's about it. My whole footwear cupboard is quite bijou !

I wear no show trainer socks from Amazon. I hate the feel of bare feet but I think normal/long socks look absolutely ridiculous (unless I’m wearing trousers that cover my ankles).

Yes the leopard prints are calling me too this spring....however, i succumbed instead to the sketchers that are like trainers,but theyre like mules.You just slide your feet in.Ordered friday. They are to replace ones of that type i bought in New York for $19, for comfort, which sadly wore out last year.I'd had those since 2017.Wonder how long the sketchers will last?

I am the same Bendmeoverbackwords- i wear normal socks with boots all winter, but as soon weather is better, and its 'trainer weather' then NO socks are required, and those trainer socks are horribly uncomfortable, theyre itchy& irritating around the ankles.Cant bear them!

I've just taken delivery of a pair of these in urban white and they are so comfortable – like walking on clouds! Look really lovely too. Off to order another pair!
