Got my eye on the leopard print adidas classics and have seen some converse with like a scarf tie on them too.

Which pairs are on your wish list at the moment?

I’ve been listing after the new fitflop trainers in mint green. Gorgeous for spring.

They look fabulous. Are they comfy?

Not arrived yet. Only ordered them this afternoon. Will report back.

So, I have a pair of grey Addidas court bold and they're looking a bit grubby. How do you all go about cleaning your trainers? I put my running trainers in the washing machine but obviously you can't do that with fashion trainers because of the outer material...

ChocolateHobbit · 05/03/2026 22:41

I love the look of Spezials but I hated the arch support. Felt very odd to me and not comfy at all.

I now have some Adidas Campus 00s which are chunky but so comfy, and some grey/black Adidas courts which are like walking on cushions.

I prefer to dress young for my age though. I'm all for skinny jeans, cropped tops, chunky 00s style trainers and bomber jackets.

Is suede waterproof?

I will give them a spray to protect them a bit but it’s more the fact they won’t show the dirt as much as a white pair.

MocktailMe · 05/03/2026 23:55

74.99. I really like them though!

I would just sponge them down with some soapy water and let them air dry.

I have 3 pairs of adidas spezials - black & white, light grey and brown.
A pair of NB 327 in leopard, a white NB 740, dark grey NB 9060 and adidas breaknet in navy and pink

The 9060 are a sort of weird shape quite wide but I like them I’m thinking of getting the white & leopard print N next, not the full leopard.
The breaknet are really comfortable the have great cushioning and arch support

I would like another spezial in light pink but not sure I’d get enough wear from them and have run out of space for shoes, I have a full ceiling height cupboard full of shoes, boots and trainers and have had to start using another cupboard, with drawers full of sandals too. I don’t know what’s wrong with me!

Reebok....I've always been a Nike girl, but lately haven't found any I like. I bought these and they are so comfy and I think very cool (back to my 90s youth!). I wear them with wide leg pants at work.

I’ve asked DH to get me these from DS for Mother’s Day. I would rather have one big present than flowers and cakes etc. Hope I like them when they come. I also love the Hoff ones linked earlier and may get these in a different colour. sansmatin.co.uk/products/womens-hera-low-top-trainers-white-leather-taupe-suede?variant=55234304409976

I’ve got several pairs of these. Love them! Can confirm they are super comfy.

I find the Spezials really uncomfortable sadly, the arch is too high for me and really hard…there are so many of them I’d love to wear but I’ve had two pairs and I’ve had to admit defeat.
Nike Internationalist were my absolute favourites…just ruined my last pair (green with silver swoosh) by spilling something on them that I couldn’t get out 😢

Ah thank you - that’s a shame 😢

Catpuss66 · 06/03/2026 10:40

Been looking for over a year for white stansmiths it’s with Velcro
. I have kidney disease the Velcro allows me to change the tightness when my feet & ankles swell up. I have some Veja ones with Velcro I agree not as comfortable, also I have some Fitflops but they feel really big. Any suggestions?

Blueskiesnotgrey · 06/03/2026 11:27

I have plantar faciitsis, wide feet and slight hypermobility in my ankles and I wear nothing out Addidas Handball Spezials now. They do have a weird high arch support when you forst get them but once you've worn them a couple of times I find them incredibly comfortable and they calm down the plantar I get when I've worn my running shoes.

Love them, especially in red.

These from Air & Grace. I've had a couple of A&G trainers and they're literally the comfiest things Ive ever put on my weird, wide toed, bunioned feet.

Sadly I can't afford them right now and they don't last very long for me as I'm also ridiculously heavy footed and these are graceful trainers, for graceful people, but they do make me feel graceful when I first wear them and I love them and highly recommend for comfort. 😊

Ahhhh FFS, now I want these.

I have far too many trainers 20+ pairs.
Currently wearing on rotation
Hoff city in a blue lilac colour
Fitflops F Mode Flow in white
Adidas Spezials in burgundy
Adidas bold in green
Hoff city in sand cream colour

And a wardrobe full of converse, Veja, Nike high tops, that I still dig out and wear occasionally.

Hoff and Fitflops are my go to for comfort.

Nice colours but how practical would they be?

I think that’s why I haven’t succumbed yet - I wonder how often I’ll actually be able to wear them.

Makemineacosmo · 06/03/2026 20:37

I love trainers, they are my weakness. Of all the pairs I have, Pumas are the most comfortable by a mile for me.

Lonelycrab · 06/03/2026 20:46

Bloke perspective here; not sure how welcome that is here but I’ll say anyway

New Balance 574
Nike air max 90
Merrell intercept (sooo comfy but they fall apart)
ETA: yes Puma are just so perfect. Very comfortable.

Shopgirl1 · 06/03/2026 23:07

@Trainersforstrolling i find the Solomon’s pretty easy to style. Mine are green, I wear them with grey jeans, black jeans, also leggings. My only issue is I have a few khaki jackets and they clash so I think I need another pair in a different colour…they are really comfortable too.

monkeymamma · 06/03/2026 23:42

Just gonna say I love my vejas, I have a pair from pre-Covid times and I’ve worn them almost every day for 7 years, they are still the most comfortable thing I’ve ever owned… and they are seemingly indestructible! They’re Velcro not laces which I think makes a difference as they can be tightened to the perfect width. I have very narrow feet though!

Hope they work for you - give them a few wears before judging I'd say. I found the high arches a bit weird at first with my first pair but now find them amazing. the beneficial effect does wear off after awhile (as they flatten I supose) but they never set it off unlike other trainers.
