Black Tie Wedding Head Piece?

My son is getting married and I always dreamed of wearing a hat. However, they've gone for an evening/black tie/full length dresses dress code.
I love a sparkles, sequins and beads so dress wise, I'll be fine however what can I wear on my head in place of a hat that fits with the evening theme?

The Dutch royals have a day (Prinsjesdag) which is Court Dress (essentially evening wear) which the females wear with a hat. I dare you!

Or more realistically, some kind of updo with an elaborate clip?
