Sorry for double post.

I had long hair. My hairdresser was fully booked and we were going on holiday so went to a local one. All I wanted was a straight trim. Didn’t think anyone could go wrong with that but had the worst haircut of my life. Feel like crying every time I look in the mirror. She cut huge short layers in my hair. I know I can’t do anything but wait for it to grow. Is there anything that would speed
it up?
Second question is my 86 yr old mum has v thin hair, any suggestions for shampoo/ conditioner for Mother’s Day ?

Could you clip in some extensions to get u through until the layers grow out a bit ? To bring back some length or wear clips or accessories styling in a new way ? Maybe buy a really lovely hat or turban headband I find matching your hair colour is good for easy to wear .
Volume shampoos and thickening shampoo Aveda is good also I would advise only putting conditioner on the ends. Also I have a separate bottle where I add shampoo mixed with water so it foams up and is more gentle as fine hair doesn’t need as much product. Its about not weighing the hair down with too much conditioner.
Also your hair will grow fast just for having been trimmed as the condition will be healthy just make sure your diet is good and the good news is sunshine helps bring vitamins so the better season for growth eggs , oily fish , nuts maybe Collagen or hair supplements

Get some good old fashioned hair gell and experiment. For your holiday can you wear
A base ball cap?
