Biab nails - HELP!!

I’ve always had acrylic nails for years and years and had no problem. I moved recently and went to a new nail shop. Originally I just wanted them taken off and a new set but when the guy took them off he was like your nails are lovely have you thought of Biab? I told him I thought my natural nails would be too weak but he persuaded me they would be fine and they put something on them to make them strong. A week later the first one split and it’s split really low like it’s going to be painful. A couple days later the second one has now started splitting, again really low and painful. What shall I do? It’s only been 2 weeks is that normal? They are expensive too! Shall I get them off and go back to acrylic?

I don’t have Biab but the other ladies I work with do. They call the salon to get them fixed when this happens, it’s usually done for free
