Heathrow Makeup counter

Has anyone ever used a makeup counter at Heathrow? I'm flying long haul next week for a few events and could really do with updating my make-up (and have a little lesson in how to do it) but I'm very rural and won't have a an opportunity to visit a makeup counter before I travel. Add to that, I'd like to try some Charlotte Tilbury products but fairly sure my nearest stores don't stock it.

I don’t think they do make up lessons at the airport. They just want to sell. Would you even have time for a lesson?

I suppose I just mean a quick "here's a good option for your skin type and this is how you slap it on" rather than a full face of make-up (who wants a load of make up on a long flight).

But yes, we'll have quite a bit of time to kill before we can board which is why I'd hoped this might be an option.

I've done it before in T5 when I was whiling away time before a flight. Tell them the look you want to achieve and, as long as it isn't to busy, they will be happy to try out a new look on you and give you a list of all the products they use.

AnyQuestions101 · 23/02/2026 17:46

Which terminal are you flying from? T5 is by far the best for this

Jillwiththefrill · 24/02/2026 09:38

That's good to hear, especially as I'll be in T5. I don't need a load of stuff, probably just a new foundation and maybe some concealer or whatever else you wear with foundation now (you see the level I'm at here).

T5 will be good for this - there is a large beauty/fragrance duty free slap bang in the centre. They’ll help you colour match etc. A couple of the counters have pre bookable 5 min or 10 min express sessions if you search online.

AnyQuestions101 · 24/02/2026 10:04

I’m cabin crew so I’m T5 a lot. When you’ve come through security, come
down the escalator and the biggest duty free is there. They always seem a little bored in there so I’m sure they’ll jump at the chance to do your make up! Every time I’ve gone to buy lipstick, they’re very helpful

BitOfFun2026 · 24/02/2026 11:15

The last few times I've flown via T5 and been to Charlotte Tilbury they were out of stock of everything I wanted/needed, so personally I wouldn't chance it! They were very good at recommending alternatives in other brands (not sure they should be doing that!) but again some of those weren't in stock either e.g. NARS Orgasm Blush

NARS Orgasm Blush

Is that really the name of a brand of makeup? 😮

It is indeed! There are various different shades of it too...

Thanks ladies! feeling more confident I can get sorted while I'm there. I'm not set on Charlotte Tillbury but a few friends have it and their skin looks superb with it on so I was keen to take a chance to try it. But frankly I'll buy whatever works for me (within reason £££).

@AnyQuestions101 I have a whooole load of other non-shopping related questions for you! 😂

You can also reserve items online and collect them. You don’t pay before so if you change your mind you don’t have to get them.
