How to remove these clothes labels?

Very fine merino wool. I have snipped the stitches on the outward facing labels, but they have not loosed at all.
They are making the back of my neck itch. I can see some threads on the outside of the sweater, but do not want to risk snipping them. It will not take much to make a hole in the fabric.
Help!

Do you have a ripper to get the individual stitches?

Yeah you need a quick unpick if you haven’t already tried that

I use embroidery scissors for labels on fine fabrics. You can get them with very fine blades (? is that the right word!) and some which are curved at the tip so you can angle the scissors away from the fabric easily.

Thank you. I have snipped the stitches I can see with very fine scissors. Is a ripper a different tool?

Seam ripper looks like this. Great for those pesky labels.
