Help me find a fool-proof make up routine

Hi ladies,

I'm mid 30s and in a bit of a make up rut.

I just want a natural make up look for work that takes no longer than 10 mins to look put together.

I have a fair amount of redness on my skin, so unfortunately don't think I can forego skin make up and quite puffy under eyes, which don't seem to go no matter how much water I drink and how much I sleep.

I have most products, but open to recommendations if anyone has anything that might help those problem areas.

Thank you!

Tinted moisturiser. Concealer if needed. Mascara. Blusher. Eyeliner if wanted. Lip gloss/stick.

There is a lady on Instagram ( selenamup) who specialises in quick natural looking makeup. She uses a range of products from cheaper to high end, you may find some of her advice useful.

Erborian CC Red Correct is amazing at covering redness on skin and is foolproof to apply.

Erborian CC, Merit The Minimalist (concealer/foundation stick), Merit Flush Balm or Rhode Pocket Blush (both dab on blush which can also be used on lips too), any brown/ black eyeliner along the lash line and mascara (or you could forgo the eye make up altogether). You could add a bronzer if you think you need a bit more colour/ contour, the Merit Bronze Balm (also in stick form) is very subtle and easy to apply.

I find working with things I can draw or dab onto my face and then just blend with a brush (or fingers) really speeds things up. It’s pretty much all I use now.

My go to is a bit of Charlotte Tilbury unreal skin sheer glow, bit of CT concealer, C.T blush, C.T bronze, brown gel and a quick eyelash curl, mascara and blended lip liner and gloss, if I'm going to the office. It sounds a lot but takes me less than 10mins in the morning. For me, as I've got older less is more. I always bounced from brand to brand in my younger years, but as I approach my 40s C.Tilbury is definitely working for me.

If you can, go to a make up counter and book a lesson. They’re usually redeemable.

I did a bobbi brown lesson an asked for a no make up make up look. Fresh and glowy. I left looking fabulous with my holy grail foundation and a new skill in tight lining.

i think other counters offer them too.
