Floor-skimming wide leg trousers - take up the hem an inch or get high shoes ??

They're perfect and I don't want to mess with the shape at all but I also don't want to trip or scrape them through dog poo on the pavement (alas at the modern age). Which would you go for and what sort of high shoes could I try that aren't high heels??

Flat form trainers? But personally I’d take them up.

Platform trainers

They're all too long...and I'm not short.

I have no sewing skills so I tend to turn the waistband over, and yes, chunky trainers.

Take them up. Try wonder web.

Wash them a few times first. The last 2 sets of trousers I've bought (different retailers) have shrunk by a few inches. Very annoying.

take them up - and if you can’t do it yourself (I know I couldn’t) it will cost about £10/15 at a local alterations place. If they’re great trousers it’s worth spending that wee bit more to make sure you can wear them whenever you want - and not just when you’re wearing heels
