Adidas Samba silver advice

So tempted to buy these, I am a bit of a magpie when it comes to metallics but at my grand age of 52 would they look silly?

Well…I have silver and green adidas trainers and am 51. No one’s ever pointed and laughed

I have these. I'm 41 and honestly buy them. They look brilliant with so many outfits. I was never into trainers but now I have over 60 pairs, all adidas or Nike.

Why would anyone laugh at someone else's footwear? Who?

I mean seriously - i was a cynical bitchy teen back in the day but didn't look twice at anyone over about 20 because they were so old they just didn't matter. Anyone in their 20s now are just looking at instagram other 20 somethings. Once you get into your 30s surely you're past laughing at other people's clothes because you've realised life's actually really short and is for living how the fuck you like?

I think we've come to a point where we don't have 'appropriate old people's clothes' any more havent we? All the hippys and the mods from the 60s are now in their 70s. The glam rockers and the punks from the 70s are in their 60s. The goths and the new romantics from the 80s are in their 50s. The 90s ravers are in their 40s !

Lets drop the 'too old for ...' stuff.

I’m 60 and I’d definitely wear them! Great for now with dark denim and a navy or grey jumper, silver earrings. They’ll also be great in the Summer too with light jeans, a white shirt and lots of silver jewellery. Buy, buy, buy!
