Morning! I don't post very often, but, I'd be grateful for some feed back on:

  1. Victoria Beckham cocoa pavé kohl pencil/ would you say the colour is as good as the hype?
  1. Hush barrel jeans/will this jeans shape endure or should I just get a cheaper pair to try?
  1. Where can I find beautiful quality clothes that don't cost the earth? (I favour a paired back, classic kind of look)

For a bit of detail, I'm almost 50 and have health issues that mean I need gentle fabrics that are easy to put on.

Another positive comment for the VB pencils. I have three now because I like them so much. Very soft and blendable but then stay put all day. They wouldn’t work if you want a very precise eye liner look but I am way past that suiting me!

Hush barrel jeans are great, I have a velvet pair that I love but tbh I think my denim pair from M&S are just as good for a far better price. Not sure how long the shape will endure but if they suit you that’s what matters.

Agree with PP that Cos are great for value and quality.

  1. Also:

Perhaps particularly knitwear, though I hear great reports of the trousers. And socks. And the outerwear looks great. The beanies are gorgeous, though they seem to have skipped the annual cashmere season last Christmas.

It’s essentially Uniqlo but with impeccable provenance.

If you have the money buy Joseph. Or Max Mara. Arket and Cos are quite good too.

I can beat the M&S barrel jeans with Tu Sainsbury’s ones. Delighted with them.

I really like my two pairs of H&M barrel leg jeans.
