I'm in my 60s and going away somewhere very hot. I don't wear much make up normally but feel I do need a bit on. What should I take please? Also looking for recommendations for waterproof mascara and eyeliner as will be swimming/sweating! Not too expensive as don't want to spend too much!. Thank you.

Get an eyelash tint - absolutely the best thing for holidays - get your brows done and you won’t need anything else but SPF. Get a good face one that’s SPF50 and matte so you don’t look shiny - costly one that’s good is Ultra Violette and more easy on the purse is the Byoma one.

I live in a hot climate..

Blinc tubing mascara is fantastic for swimming. I use a cheaper one but I think it's only in Australia.

I use a tinted sunscreen. I am super sensitive to the chemical sunscreens so I like to use zinc based one. I like winki at the moment.

I then use a nice lipstick thats a good pinky colour and double it up as blush as well.

I've got some glowly drops which I use under eyes that give a light shimmer.

I like the garnier tinted SPF. It’s about £8 on offer usually. It’s great on holiday. At 60, and being kind, I’d stay away from eyeliner or certainly at 55 I do as I find it very harsh. My usual make up for a hot climate is my tinted SPF, brown mascara and a bit of cream blush. I will also use a tinted SPF lip balm. I think mine is Burt’s Bees.

As a 63 year old veteran of many a Greek holiday in August when temperatures are usually mid-30's I have pared down my make-up to Garnier B&B cream, NYX Brow Gel, VB eye pencil for a tiny bit of smudge, mascara, small Benefit blush and Clinique Bare Pop lippie.

That's only for the evening. During the day it's no make-up and spf30 facial sunscreen.

Ok, late 60s here. I echo the Garnier tinted sunscreen mentioned above. That's it for daytime apart from a bit of tinted lip balm. Going out for a meal etc, just a brush of light powder foundation, and a touch of blush and lip.

Cream make up of any sort slides right down my face in the heat, so that's out, and as for mascara and eyeliner, no.... I'd look like a panda after five minutes.😊
