Where do you shop now if you liked old Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge?

Hey! I am in need of some new clothes but so much stuff now is crap quality. Most of my clothes are from River Island, Apricot and New Look with some basics from next but I’d really like to find some new brands to shop!

Mourning Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge of old, whose styles I loved in the Arcadia group days!

I’m late 20s :) please give me your recommendations for brands with cute everyday clothes in half decent quality fabrics! I wear mostly neutrals

Uniqlo do excellent basics, much better quality than other high street. H&M is trash nowadays!

Thank you! Must get a good look at Uniqlo! absolutely agree with you on H&M! Not seen anything in ages! ordered a top from DP not too long ago but unfortunately the quality isn’t the same anymore! Felt a bit cheap compared to the old stuff! Have you had more luck than I did with them online? Could have been a one off

H&M, ASOS, Nobody’s Child, Topshop (which is coming back hooray! For now it’s an online range), the occasional more basic item from River Island. I’ve embraced my Millennial base style, it’ll never change.

Nobody’s child, Reiss, occasionally Monsoon. Occasionally Primark for basic layers or for sparkly stuff. Vinted for old-quality Karen Millen, cheap cashmere, leather skirts, Anthropologie.

I adored Miss Selfridge! I buy most stuff second hand now to be honest, some 00s Topshop stuff new with labels on vinted for a few quid; quality is so much better.

ASOS sell miss selfridge , I know because I’ve just listed a skirt on eBay that my teen missed the return window. It’s lovely actually .
