Soft work trousers

Hoping the hive mind can help,

I have a new role at work and need some smart / smart casual office wear. No denim allowed which is where i'm stuck as my current need to look smart casual outfit is generally black/dark blue thick denim skinny or straight leg jeans and a loose blouse or linen shirt.

Probably helps to mention I am not in the UK so warm weather outfits needed most of the year.

I absolutely hate the feel of standard suit type fabric work trousers, I am hoping to find some that in an ideal world feel almost like leggings but more structured or some nice soft options.
High waisted would be great, I am approximately a size 10/12 but pear shaped so generally a 12 in the bottom. Budget ideally around £30 but happy to spend up to £50 as I would rather own 2 great pairs than multiple that I hate.

I wear these for work - stretchy and comfy with a med to high waist, wash well, don't need ironing. I've found that they shrink in the length over the first few washes, but not in the width, I'm normal a petite length but I buy standard length and after a few washes they're fine.

The fabric is matt, not seethrough, I just think they come in different leg cuts as well

If you can cope with navigating the halara website, I love their clothes. Theres so many great smart options which are super comfy. Im a size 10, occasionally 12, and their M has been spot on every time.

Lovall do a winter wide leg trouser. They are SO comfortable. I think it fits the bill for you?

Thanks all M&S ones look like they fit the bill and come in Navy which i like, will order a pair to try. I had never heard of halara so will check them out.

The Lovall ones look good but as we rarely get below 18 degrees in the day even in winter fleece lined is absolutely not needed

Oh I’m sorry! I think I read your post as it was always cold, not the other way around!
