The Ordinary recommendations

If you were looking to buy 1 or 2 things from The Ordinary for anti ageing what would you go for?

(I'm 41, pretty sure i'm perimenopausal, skin quite sensitive and I'm particularly dismayed by frown lines between eyebrows and beginnings of a turkey neck. I use spf and moisturiser currently but generally find skincare overwhelming!)

Personally, I like lactic acid and growth factors serum, but I switch the latter out for copper peptides when I'm feeling flush. Unfortunately I think I've become sensitised to retinol (needs more investigation) but before that I liked their retinal (the one that makes your face yellow).

I came on here to say Lactic acid, too. You could start with 5%.

Niacinamide and the retinol emulsion are the two I use

I got argireline and matrixyl which are supposed to be the holy grail for anti aging from The Ordinary when used together. Only been a month so can’t report on effects so far….

I buy the multi-peptide eye serum on repeat. I use it before the Estée Lauder advanced night repair eye cream and I think the 2 together are extremely effective.

Buy the anti aging duo, they’re cheap on TikTok at the moment with free shipping as it’s their beauty crush week

Niacinamide and hydraulonic acid serums (two separate things)

I like their rosehip oil.
