£500 on a bag. Coach tabby or something else.

I have £500 to spend on a good bag. I like the coach tabby 26 as it can be shoulder or crossbody. I particularly like the crossbody strap being a decent length so it sits where I like it to be and not cutting me I half and sitting under my boob. I also like that the bag is structured. I don’t like bags where I can’t find anything and have to rummage.

The only thing I am not keen on is the hardware on the tabby as I prefer silver tones.

Has anyone got a tabby? Is it worth it? Any other suggestions for a good quality bag that might be similar or would certainly be worth a look?

I’m confused – you can get silver hardware for coach tabby quite easily? You can even get black hardware for the black ones. Which are you looking at?

I have a coach tabby, and yes it’s a great bag. Easy to use. I have the quilted black one and my only complaint is that I find it hard to’ ‘dress it down’ so it ends up being more of an occasion bag.

I’ve also just bought the Mulberry Lily in oak, which think is much better for dressing down, however there’s only one compartment, and like you - I don’t like to rummage.

Thank you. Our local John Lewis only had the gold hardware. I will take a look elsewhere. I have seen the Lily but the strap is too short.
