Estée Lauder Double Wear

I am actually gobsmacked after just learning that Estée Lauder have changed their double wear formula.

I’ve been wearing this for a good 20 years, tried loads of others and nothing stands up to this, on a Facebook group everyone is saying the new one is shite.

I am GUTTED

It’s shit isn’t it. Apparently they can no longer use one of the key ingredients. They ruined DW light a year or two ago too. I’d love to know if anyone can suggest a good replacement.

It’s shit, it makes me skin so dry now, I’ve replaced it with a nars one and so far so good

Just bought 4 bottles from the Debenhams website hoping it’s old stock, think I might have a drive to the Trafford and try and clean up…

MAC have done the same to their powder foundation. I’ll need to find an alternative when my dregs finally run out

I used double wear for decades, then got really bad pigmentation and moved onto the maximum coverage. Recently I’ve been using Huda beauty which I can layer up and love it.

I went to John Lewis to get colour matched to try the new double wear. I hate it! Not only is it the wrong colour but it really doesn’t layer up well.

Online chat with Estée Lauder and have my money back (or could have chosen any item for £40) and will give the bottle to my mum!

So not a great result, but Estée Lauder were great with a refund even when I didn’t buy it from them. Keep your receipts!

Back to my Huda beauty and loving it!

Armani Luminous Silk has done the same thing, I suspect it's the same 'forever chemical' that's been banned. Not tried the new one yet, but I'm aware all the shades have changed as well.

I have moved over to L'Oreal True Match foundation.
A bit watery but does look ok.
