Can't see the difference after haircut

My usual hairdresser wasn't available so I saw someone else at the salon. It has a great reputation and I've had many cuts there over the years.

I thought she didn't take very long in cutting, but she did take a long time drying and styling it and it looked ok when I left though I did think she hadn't taken much off.

This morning with the styling gone it literally looks exactly the same as it did before I got it cut. I asked for a trim with about an inch off.

Would I be unreasonable to ask her or someone else to take some more off? Feels like a massive waste of money.

I think asking for an inch off was your mistake, if your hair is shoulder length or below, it would be very hard to notice the difference.

Many people hate having their hair cut and only want the inch and she has listened to your instruction. Did she ask you at the end if you were happy or give you a mirror to inspect it? Unless she has butchered it, I would say that you would be wrong to ask to have it cut again for free.

Thanks - I've kind of got used to it now. It definitely isn't a great cut but I think you're right.
