Streamlining my decorative beauty options…

As much as I love make up and beauty, I kind of know what suits me. Occasionally, I fall for something different (colour, texture, scent), but then start to feel like I need a complimentary thing or just start to get a decision making fatigue. So, I have decided to try the following - though not decided on all specific items:

Lips - work lipstick, night out lipstick, weekend lipstick / gloss. Just 3 options, and pencils for each.

Perfume - same categories.

Not sure about eyeshadows, but I only have 5 anyway and they last forever.

Just wondered if anyone has done the same. Happy to share specifics options that I have decided on if anyone is interested.

I like how you’ve separated scents into night out, weekend, work categories, makes sense

I love the idea of doing this but in reality struggle to keep things streamlined. Following in case anyone has any good tips and would also love to hear more about your choices!

I did this with perfume, I had winter everyday, summer everyday, special occasion, going out at night.

My make up tends to be the same all the time just more blusher and maybe some eyeshadow for a night out.

I’ve totally streamlined my makeup and skin care.

do like to have the option of a few different perfumes though, although I’ve also now (I think!) identified the two that I will always want to have.

@Bluehead Please tell us about your perfume options! And make up - you must have real great finds if you keep going to the same things.

@GreaterCassowary
Work perfume - Chanel Coco
Two others - not yet decided. I have Paloma Picasso to use up as weekend and Youth Dew as a date night but they are not my long term choices like Coco. I love Youth Dew as a single spritz in the evening, it’s a sensory hug for myself but not for wearing out out. I would like something sweet and strong for a date night, maybe Burberry Goddess Intense or Gucci Gardenia Intense, or La Vie est Belle. Or Chloe original. For weekend - need something light and hopeful like Cerutti 1881 or Narcisco for Her. Any recommendations are welcome in these areas.

Work lip - Maybelline Lip Liner in Line Leader and L’Oréal Paradise Glow Lipstick in Nude 191. Weekend - same liner with Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Petal, but will upgrade when I find a better option as this gloss feathers. Date night - same lip liner in Fine Line and Givenchy Lipstick in 227 Rose Infuse. Thinking about ordering this in 111 Nude Amande for work as better staying power than L’Oréal but not as glossy, which I do like, and three times more expensive.

Clinique Happy and Black Pepper from Korres https://uk.korres.com/products/eau-de-parfum-black-pepper-50ml?_pos=4&_sid=f1ad4e495&_ss=r
The latter smells of holidays in Greece and I love it. These are the two that I repeat buy.

I also currently have the dregs of a bottle of Penhaligons Halfeti (gorgeous but too ÂŁÂŁÂŁ), some Kenzo Flower (old school but I still love it) and a Chloe one which seems to disappear as soon as I put it on, annoyingly.

Eau De Parfum Black Pepper 50ml

The best fragrance for women, formulated with fresh notes and good-for-you ingredients.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Thank you! I love Kenzo Flower and Happy, old school are the best. I am love the new gourmand and oud scents in the air but can’t image myself in them (or wide leg trousers)
