Help! What would you wear with what?

Date night question.

And before I start I don't want to hear SKINNY JEANS ARE SO 2015. Nobody cares, I like them, I wear them if I want to.

So with that said.

If you were wearing smart bootcut jeans, with a heel and a naice top. What jacket would you wear? With skinnies I'd wear a blazer but that doesn't look right.

On the other scale if I was wearing smart skinnies and a naice top with a blazer, what should I wear on my feet? Ankle boots? I like a heel for nights out.

(PS if you have other ideas/options for mid 40s, petite woman, hit me up. As long as it's 'don't wear skinny jeans'. Bootcut are fine, wide leg make me look like a stumpy toad).

What's your top like? They're probably massively outdated but I've always loved a bomber jacket. Prepares for ridicule!!

Blazers are still very much in, they’re in all of the shops! I saw a nice checked one in Next the other day. Bombers too, they’re just more slouchy than the ones we wore in 2015/2016. Ankle boots with skinnies would be fine - lots of pointed boots and interesting shaped heels in the shops just now. Lots of knee high boots too!
