Does face yoga actually work?

I’m getting served loads of ads on face yoga courses to eradicate double chin and turkey neck (trying not to be insulted by the algorithm šŸ˜‚)

I would do it if I knew it worked- but I’m worried that I could just be stretching my skin and making myself more wrinkly.

interested to hear if anyone has tried it or recommends it.

im 46 and seem to have aged horribly over the last 3 years. My skin is so saggy now so I really want to do something proactive about it.

No idea but Botox does!

I’ve done it for years - Eva Fraser book. It definitely works and you’re shown ways to minimise other areas wrinkling while you do it. I’ve also used a Foreo Bear 2 micro current device which also definitely works for me in addition.
Drinking less alcohol and eating well helps.

Not sure if it's the same but I've been doing facial massage for 9 months and there is such a big difference in the lift in my skin

I do my own very short routine. I'd recommend learning the exercises and then devising your own routine so that it takes no longer than 3-5 minutes. Any more than that and you won't stick to it. I do look much younger but I don't know how much is down to facial exercises.

Yes I was interested in facial massage too - but thought it might stretch my skin and make wrinkles.

I was wanting to look into a facial that properly massages your face, but not too sure what that would be called, or how to find a good one. (Plus probably expensive).

I’ve been through a lot of stress - and I think I’ve held it all in my face- so would love for it to be massaged out of my tissues!

was thinking those jade rollers might be good too

That’s all great advice-thanks everyone- sounds like it does work and no obvious downsides. Thanks for the link and book tip. I’ll look into all of that and take it from there.

I do Pilates with Lisa - face yoga and I think it has really helped, plus use a nuface at the same time. It hardly take anytime do deffo worth a try. Am 59 and been doing it for maybe a year or two ?

I'm happy to send you a before and after of my face over DM if you like, I don't use any other anti ageing strategies. I've also found it helped massively with anxiety and stress so it's a win win. I follow an app (not free) that does a daily 10 min class and it's very relaxing
