Eyebrows

Ok so I have never done anything with my eyebrows. I used to pluck the living daylights out of them about 25 years ago and have basically left them untouched since. I am starting to pay more attention to my appearance but have no idea where to start with these. One seems to be a lot higher than the other. Any tips on what I should be getting done? I'm scared of them ending up super dark and looking a bit too done!

It looks like you might have a slightly deviated septum, which is why one is slightly higher (I have this too!). I use Just For Men to tint my brows and it lasts around a month - you could start with a lighter colour if you’re worried. I also like the Rimmel Brow This Way set to add volume and definition.

It does look as though they are a bit sparse; other posters would be better placed to advise on brow treatments to fill in brows.

Same here, OP, plus I have a patch of white hairs in the middle of each brow. Discovered Incredibrow semi-permanent tinted brow gel. Game changer!

I was a teen in the 90s so plucked by eyebrows into oblivion. They never grew back and now at 45 they are getting even more sparse which has a hugh effect on my entire face. A bit of tinting is not working for me anymore.

I'm booked in to get nano brows tomorrow. Nervous and excited at the same time.

if I was you I’d go to a beautician’s to get them shaped & tinted

landlordhell · 05/02/2026 06:51

It’s personal taste . Some people have mad stuff done so I’d be wary of asking in here. I prefer natural but brushed into shape and maybe use an eyebrow pencil to fill in any sparse areas and more definition. Pluck any obvious outliers. If unsure ask a friend. Also lots of YouTube tutorials.

Get yourself to a brow bar for a tint & then do maintenance at home with Refectocil from amazon, you need to buy the tint, hydrogen peroxide and a little glass cup for mixing it in.

PeonyPatch · 05/02/2026 06:58

Would you consider semi permanent micro blading? Just to add some more hair strokes to fill them out a bit. I’d emphasise you want them natural. They don’t have to look super thick and overdone. That’s what I’d do in your position :)

You need microwaving.
It will make the world of difference!

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 05/02/2026 08:04

I have very fine brows and have them tinted every couple of months. It makes a world of difference.

CeliaCanth · 05/02/2026 08:12

Excellent autocorrect (I guess!) from notacooldad!

Seriously, please don’t!

Microwaving! ShockGrin

sundayvibeswig22 · 05/02/2026 10:27

A simple tint and shape would make a big difference. Most people have eyebrows that are slightly different

PeonyPatch · 05/02/2026 10:48

Microwaving 😂

LittlePotteryBird · 05/02/2026 10:58

Thanks, I’ve just microwaved my brows and now they’re on fire.

DoctorBambino · 05/02/2026 15:00

Thanks everyone, sounds like a tint and shape is a good start. What about lamination AI mentioned that when I asked?

Oh my god! Ive just seen my auto correct/ typo from this morning.
It'll certainly make a difference, but not the one you'd want.
Don't take my advice! 😆 😆 😆

Lamination saved my sparse brows. Find a really good brow tech and have a consultation.
