Decent basic blue tops? Ideas on how to style!

Hi - im trying to wear my current wardrobe as opposed to buying more. I have two long skirts in navy and id like to get an idea of how to style them. Happy wearing boots or trainers. This would be for work. I had a plain blue top from H&M but the colour has faded - i almost want a decent quality plain blue top (maybe uniqlo?) and also ideas on how to style it, ie what should i wear on top if anything. My style can be smart casual but id like to look trendier. Size 16/18 - busty.

Any fashionistas - please help!

Navy blue is such a good colour to style as it goes with most. I particularly like it with pink, white, yellow and stripes.

Mixing around with textures is always good. So with the pleated skirt, a more plain top and for the satin skirt, a ruffle white shirt/blouse/top would look good.

A big white boyfriend style shirt or a roomy tshirt with the smooth satin skirt. Uniqlo do lovely loose tshirts. Failing that a fitted one would also look great

@Numberwang66 thank you! So i want to look more streamline as i risk looking too bulky. So i had thought to wear navy throughout with different coloured accessories.

Good question, I’ve got skirts like that and I want a shorter top to stop me looking too bulky. Not that’s much help though!

I like the pleated skirt, I really dont like the satin maxi skirts on anyone, they look such a disconnect with anything other than nightwear in my head

In terms of the pleated skirt, white, plum, light blue, dark blue I think would work, cream also

Can you dye the shirt back to its original colour?
