Black shampoo

Anyone with bleached hair (or highlights) tried or using black shampoo?

After leaving the purple shampoo on a bit too long in the bath last week, I'm now looking as if I've had an old ladies lilac rinse. I need something to counteract yellowness though and wondered about black shampoo instead. I'm OK with a grey tone (I'm not in the first flush of youth) but lilac is a step too far.

I do.

Black will “ashen” your hair and should hide the lilac tinge. But you ll need purple at some point to counteract the brassiness.

I also do my own toners: I got black and purple semi permanent dyes and I add a few drops to my hair mask, much cheaper.
