I hope this is the appropriate place to post this (anyone tell me where to repost it if not) , but Oh some of her jewellery was fabulous.
I'm sure others will remember the anecdote when Princess Margaret looked at the Krupps diamond ring and sniffed , "it's a bit vulgar isn't it." PM accepted the offer to try it on and Elizabeth said whilst M as wearing it " doesn't look so vulgar now , does it? " . I think and hope that anecdote is true.
Anyway I would never in a million years have the chance to wear that jewellery but I think Elizabeth Taylor carried it off with aplomb.
