Dress for funeral

I need a black dress for funeral. Preferably below calf length, fit and flare maybe. All the dresses I've tried so far seem to be more fitted on top and cut under the bust with a voluminous skirt which makes me look like an oversized barage balloon. Any suggestions?

Are you looking for black? My funeral go to is a black Jasper Conran shirt dress but its out of stock at the moment. H&M have a couple - one in linen and one with white stripes https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1278042002.html

At a higher price point Boden have several black midi dresses suitable for a funeral https://www.boden.com/collections/womens-midi-dresses?filter.p.m.wmsconnect.tgtplmcolourgroup=Black&sort_by=manual

So do Next - I like this one as its not too funerally but still suitable but it is only available in a petite so it depends on how tall you are https://www.next.co.uk/style/su928799/f00469

Does it have to be a dress? Black trousers with appropriate jacket or long cardigan are my usual funeral wear.

Some of those dresses but I think you need to consider staying warm and dry. Churches and crematoria can be cold places. Wear something you can layer up or remove items easily, especially if the wake afterwards is somewhere warm.
If it's a burial you also need to consider staying dry and not sinking into the grass around the grave.
My go to outfit is a skirt, blouse and jumper, with a coat over. Not necessarily black (navy is less harsh with my colouring and I wore a deep burgundy outfit to my Dad's funeral). I've previously bought from charity shops, as I don't need that type of clothing for other aspects of my life.

Can’t do the links, sorry , but worth looking on Live Unlimited’s website.
Some possibilities, including several in the Sale section . They’re very prompt with deliveries and returns/refunds, should you need to .

My winter funeral attire is a M&S fitted dress with jacket, bought in 2010. My summer one is something cheap from Zara.

This dress is lovely on, I felt very elegant in it and also didn’t need to worry about it being too low/riding up etc.
