Summer mules

Saw these last summer and decided not to buy because I was concerned they would be uncomfortable and a waste of money. But. Now thinking about my summer wardrobe and keep coming back to these. Has anyone tried them/bought them and can let me know their experience? Or any thoughts generally on the flatness and level of support? I have no particular feet issues but want to be able to walk around comfortably for a couple of hours and given the price not sure

I cannot think of anywhere beyond my bedroom where those would be any use at all.

Terrible walking down either wooden or carpeted stairs for breakfast. Couldn’t drive in them, and one would inevitably fall into the gap between train and platform. Would look sloppy in the streets, ridiculous on a country walk, dangerous on a beach in Marseille, ill judged at any meeting.

I suppose if I were chauffeured to a pool party and required to do nothing beyond standing still with a drink in my hand - they might have a purpose.

But to me they wouldn’t really count as footwear.

All very good points. I saw them on a woman on the tube last summer and I thought “oh maybe”. I would go for the blue colour to be practical but would probably be fooling myself!

Flat mules are very hard to keep on ime, learned that in my early 20s and have not revisited that style again.

I can't imagine walking in them let alone going on the tube, getting out of a chauffeur driven car and standing around in them most definitely but otherwise no.

Crazy overpriced nothings!

Surely only someone keen to lose a leg under a train, or at the very least some teeth and your nose bone on the escalators would wear those on the Tube??

No comment on the design of these, but I have fallen in love with R&B flat quilted leather mules and worn them loads in the summer, wish I bought more colours then. Yes, they rattle going down the stairs, but they are great for holidays and to nip out to shops, no issues driving.
