Bracelet Fastening Frustration

I have a beautiful delicate bracelet with a lobster fastening. I have hardly ever worn it in 10 years and now I remember why.that is.

This morning, I have spent over 30 minutes trying to fasten it.

I can't do it. I am enraged. I have to go out now without wearing it.

Does everyone else do it effortlessly?

Is there a gizmo of some kind that would do the trick?

Hairpin hack!
Open it slightly so you can put one end in.

You can buy cheap gizmos online but a long hairpin works just as well.

Loop cotton thread onto both ends and hold up around your wrist with the same hand you are wearing
Other hand to fasten
Remove thread

I use two of the stick gizmos off Amazon. Trick is to use one with rubber tips on the crocodile clip and then you can hold the lobster clasp open with it

I use an unwound paperclip, just leave a little hook at one end. Good luck!

I tape it to my wrist so it can’t move while I’m fastening it

Wow, I never thought to use a hairpin. I've been having the same issue with a bracelet I got for xmas. Thanks, I shall try this.
