Has something changed with No 7?

Practically all my make up and skin care is No 7. I now use the future renew serum, day and night creams, but have worked my way through the ranges as I've aged.

Nearly all my make up is No7, apart from the odd bit of clinique.

Anyway for the last few months I've noticed my face getting quite itchy, with a sort of tingly feeling that makes me want to scratch my skin. There's no rash, just this weird sensation.

Has anyone else noticed this with No7? I've no idea where to start with replacing everything as I'm prone to sensitive skin and had settled on No7 as it was the one thing that seemed to be OK!

Is it No7 or perhaps has your skin changed?

For example, menopause?

Orangebonnet · 28/01/2026 20:42

Menopause definitely, although I’m 58 now and feel to be through the worst otherwise.

I’m exactly the same - have just given away ££££ of Future Renew as it was making my skin red and angry all of a sudden 😒

Am 48 so was assuming it was peri- linked.

Could it be the time of year. Cold and wet weather outside, hot and dry indoors with the heating on and the after effects of Christmas indulgence always makes my skin more sensitive.

Try taking collagen supplements. Did wonders for my skin and hair. I’m in my 60’s and still have soft smooth skin

Protect and perfect has given me terrible facial eczema recently after using it without issue for a couple of years.

wifeywish1 · 28/01/2026 21:26

I had this and came out in hives all over my face. Boots reimbursed me for the cost of the products - this was a couple of years ago and they’d changed the formula. Cleared you as soon as I stopped using it.

Tried some on my hand and it definitely reacted but I’ve sensitive skin. The sales woman said I should possibly stay away from no 7 as my hand just turned red!

Shimmyshimmycocobop · 28/01/2026 21:42

I'm not really allergic to anything other than plasters (latex) and Boots no 7 protect and perfect. Brings my neck out in a red rash.

That’s interesting to hear how some of you are experiencing the same. God knows where I’ll start with looking for alternatives. I find the more expensive brands are too harsh for my skin. I might just go back to Nivea which served me well in my younger years!

The Boots Ingredients skincare range is good.

Very uninspiring but I use the aveeno gel cream and the night cream and it’s really soothed any irritation!

I moved to M&S Formula range a few years ago and really like it
