DeMellier Hudson

Does anyone have this bag? I’m very, very tempted but I’ve never bought anything from DeMellier before and I’m concerned about longevity. Thank you!

Not that model but I have most of their other designs to be fair. Fab quality and I love them all. I do like the Hudson - I think the design will be around for a long time, it’s not particularly faddy. Has Hermes vibes so it will always look good.

@TotallyFloored Thank you! Yes, I love the Hermes Kelly but I can’t justify the cost and even if I could I’d be terrified walking around with something that expensive, so I’ve been eyeing the Midi Hudson instead.

I have been tempted by the bag and I do love the shape but I’m worried that there are so many influencers who have it/other bags from DeMellier that it’s becoming a bit naff.

I’ve just had my head turned and ordered the Manu Atelier Cambon 35. I’ll report back!

Do report back because I’ve been eyeing this up but heard mixed reviews on quality

@TotallyFloored They actually sell Manu Atelier at Next of all places so I’ve had it ordered into my local store. So at least no fuss sending it back if I don’t like it!

@TotallyFloored They’re lovely bags! I ordered the Le Cambon 35 in Black (pebbled leather) and Le Cambon 25 in Soft Black (which I think is calfskin). Both bags look well made (although I’m not an expert I gave them a good look over). Unfortunately though I like the 35 but not in the pebbled leather. In the changing room light (at least) it doesn’t look like a true black, and the pebbled leather doesn’t look formal/ luxe enough for the shape. Next don’t have the 35 in calfskin, and it’s sold out on Manu Atelier’s website so I guess I’m going to have to wait. I am taking the 35 home though just in case it looks different in better lighting. The 25 is cute but I think I already have that look/size covered by a Toteme T-Lock so I returned it in store.

@TotallyFloored I’d not heard of it, it’s a nice bag but doesn’t have the buckle detailing I’m after ☺️ I’ve emailed Manu Atelier to see if they have any timeline for getting the Cambon 35 in Soft Black back in stock. I don’t really need another handbag so they may be saving me from myself 😅
