Roka backpack - A4 notebook in the small sizes?

I need a small bag/pack to take to a weekend activity separate from my work bag. I have various A4 papers and a notebook to take with me as well as usual handbag stuff. I was thinking of a small Roka backpack. Does say an A4 notebook or magazine fit in them? The size is given as 32cm tall so it looks like it should.

Which style is it you're thinking of? I believe the dimensions of the small backpacks vary between styles. I have a small Bantry so could have a look if that's the one you mean.

Thanks yes Bantry is the preferred option rather than the roll top ones.

Well, here's a photo (assume it may take a while to appear), of the bag containing a thin A4 magazine. The only other thing inside is a large ball of wool at the bottom (only thing I had to hand). It does fit and the bag can be zipped without catching on the paper, though I imagine having the bag full could change that. I think having anything A4 and rigid would be a bit tricky. I guess it depends on how much other stuff you'd be carrying.

By the way, in case you're not aware, there are often lots of Roka bargains, BNWT, to be found on Vinted. Especially around now, as after their recent winter sale and current Lucky Dip promotion, many people are buying from Roka then selling bags on.

Thanks very much, that's brilliant. I think I will need to find a stockist and check. I have a feeling I've seen them in a garden centre locally.

Came back to say, after looking at some IRL in the local garden centre, I bought a Small Finchley backpack on Vinted. It's like a little TARDIS! A4 folder or hardcover notebook goes in the laptop pocket, as would a 13" laptop at a pinch. Plus water bottles and all kinds of other crap. I may be a convert!

Good to hear you found a suitable style. Once bitten by the Roka bug, I'm afraid there's no known cure ;-)
I succumbed just over a year ago: I totally blame the 2024/25 MN Lucky Dip thread for my downfall. Almost got a Canfield recently as there are so many on Vinted right now, but I managed to resist. I do have a Trafalgar tote on the way though...
Enjoy your backpack!
