Blokes and trousers

Why do so many guys wear trousers that are too long? I've lost count of the number of photos at weddings I've seen with men wearing a suit with the trouser hems all rucked up.

It's because suits are generally meant to be worn a bit higher up our waists than other trousers, and we wear them correctly when we're getting measured up.

Because none of us wear suits regularly any more, we're not used to this. So 5 minutes after getting to the wedding we've forgotten this, loosened our belt a notch and are wearing them slung round our hips like all our other trousers because it's more comfortable.
