Summer jacket

Hello! I’m going on holiday soon and it’s likely to be a little breezy on an evening. Everyone is suggesting a denim jacket but I don’t fancy that. What do people suggest? I want something lightweight to put over summer dresses.
I’m in my 30s and want something vaguely stylish!

I love a leather biker. I have no idea if it is classed as stylish these days but it makes me feel pretty cool!

I love my denim jacket, also have a biker but it can be too hot. I have a fab sort of bomber jacket that I wear most.

Same problem here. I have a classic denim jacket already, it’s lovely but feels all naff, I have been looking at more out there shapes like puffy sleeves or baloon sleeves. Oversized denim looks fab on my young DD, but does not work. I have a lovely leather biker but it will be too hot. I have considered a blazer but it will not work with all my dresses. So, stuck, and still think denim is the way to go, but not classic.

I do have a lovely olive green jacket that would work, but the colour is too autumnal. But may be an idea for you in a different colour or damned denim. Mine has inner toggle waist, very flattering, others come straight.

How about a suede cropped jacket. It’s versatile and you can wear in the spring or autumn.

What about a chore jacket shape in whatever fabric suits you best? I have one in denim and another in a thin cotton lawn. I had two in cord but never wore them.

Just an example but a collarless cropped blazer type jacket could also work.

Thanks for the links, will take a look. Still love a leather jacket but think that’ll be a bit heavy. In my head I think a cardigan would be the perfect item but can’t help but think that’s not so cool! Maybe I need to play with shape, sleeves etc to make it a bit more interesting!

Also look into linen or snazzy satin bombers.
